If the lower leaves deteriorate while the upper stem remains healthy, check for shading and overcrowding. Avoid trying to force colour through excessive light or fertiliser, as this can encourage algae without improving the plant.

Bacopa Yellow Flame can be kept in a planted freshwater aquarium with fish and shrimp. As with any new aquarium plant, rinse it and follow a quarantine routine before adding it, especially if you keep sensitive shrimp.
